Integrations

Integrate Magento with Odoo

Magento (Adobe Commerce) runs some of the most complex catalogues in ecommerce: configurable products, tiered B2B pricing, multiple websites and store views. That power is exactly why Magento stores need a proper ERP behind them, and why a shallow integration fails.

Magento is one of our named connector specialisms alongside Shopify and bol.com. We’ve dealt with the real-world Magento issues: attribute set sprawl, configurable-vs-simple product mapping, and multi-store-view catalogues that need careful flattening into Odoo.

What we connect

  • Catalogue mapping that respects Magento’s model. Configurable products and their simple children map to Odoo product templates and variants correctly, preserving attribute sets, so stock is tracked at the sellable-variant level.
  • Orders, invoices and credit memos. Magento’s full order lifecycle syncs into Odoo, including partial invoices and credit memos, so accounting reflects what actually happened rather than an approximation.
  • Multi-website and store view support. One Magento instance often runs several websites and languages. We map each website to the right Odoo company, warehouse or pricelist so reporting stays clean.
  • B2B price handling. Customer group pricing and tier prices reconcile with Odoo pricelists, which matters for merchants running wholesale and retail from the same Magento install.
  • Inventory from Odoo, MSI-aware. Odoo pushes stock to Magento with awareness of Multi-Source Inventory, keeping saleable quantity accurate per source and stock.

How a storefront integration goes live

  1. Catalogue audit before anything syncs. SKUs matched across both systems, variant structures resolved, duplicates cleared. A dirty first import is the gift that keeps costing, so this comes first rather than after.
  2. A written mapping document. Which system owns which truth, which direction each object flows, and how taxes, currencies and shipping charges land in the ledger. You approve it before we build.
  3. Staging sync against a copy of your live store. Real products, real order history, and the awkward records included deliberately rather than filtered out to make the demo look good.
  4. Reconciliation before trust. Order counts, stock levels and tax totals compared across both systems until the numbers agree on evidence rather than optimism.
  5. Cutover sized for your peak. Go-live with logging, failure alerting and volumes tested against your busiest trading day, not an average Tuesday.

Common questions

Magento 1 or Magento 2?
Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce for new integrations. If you're still on Magento 1, the integration conversation is usually also a replatforming conversation, and we'll be straight with you about that.
How do you handle our enormous catalogue?
Initial sync is batched and resumable, with a reconciliation report at the end showing exactly what mapped and what needs a decision. Nothing is silently skipped.
Can Odoo replace some of our Magento extensions?
Often yes. ERP-side logic (stock rules, pricing, invoicing) is usually more reliable in Odoo than in a stack of Magento extensions, and we'll tell you which ones you can retire.
Our Magento is on an old version. Does that block this?
Not usually, though Magento 1 is end-of-life and unsupported, which is a security conversation worth having separately. The integration approach differs between M1 and M2, and we scope accordingly rather than pretending they're the same job.
Can Odoo hold pricing for our B2B tiers instead of Magento?
Yes, and it's often the better architecture: Odoo pricelists become the source of truth and push to Magento, so sales and the storefront stop disagreeing about what a customer pays.
