Integrate PayPal with Odoo
PayPal is still a conversion driver, especially for marketplace-habituated and older demographics, but its reporting is famously awkward: rolling reserves, currency conversions, fees per transaction and settlement timing that never quite matches your orders. Left unintegrated, PayPal becomes the messiest line in your reconciliation.

What we connect
- Transaction import and matching. PayPal transactions match to Odoo orders and invoices, including express checkout payments from your storefronts.
- Fee capture per transaction. PayPal’s per-transaction fees post to a dedicated expense account, so gross revenue and net receipts are both visible and correct.
- Currency conversion handling. PayPal’s own FX conversions are recorded at PayPal’s rates, eliminating phantom gains and losses in the ledger.
- Refund and dispute flow. Refunds create credit notes; disputes and reversals are captured when they happen rather than discovered at month end.
- Settlement reconciliation. PayPal balance movements and bank withdrawals reconcile against underlying transactions, closing the loop with your bank feed.
How payment and tax integrations are proven
- Map the money, not just the API. Gross, fees, refunds, chargebacks and payout timing traced end to end, because the gap between what a customer paid and what lands in your bank is where reconciliation breaks.
- Ledger design agreed with your finance side. Accounts, tax codes and posting rules written down and signed off by whoever owns your month-end close before a line of config is saved.
- Staging against real transaction shapes. Partial refunds, multi-currency settlements, failed and retried payments, and the disputed transaction nobody wants to talk about.
- Reconciled to the penny. Provider payout statements compared against Odoo until they agree exactly. Close enough is not a result we report.
- Finance signs off, then live. Your finance team runs a full month-end on staging first. Production follows only once that close is clean.
