Shopify Connector Comparison

There are several Shopify-Odoo connectors on the market, including Emipro, TeqStars and VentorTech. This is an honest look at how ours differs, and how to evaluate any of them, because the right question isn’t which has the longest feature list.

We build and maintain ours rather than resell someone else’s, which shapes everything below.

What this looks like in practice

• Built, not resold. Most Odoo partners resell a third-party connector. We built ours, so we know exactly how it behaves, adapt it to your setup, and ship fixes ourselves rather than routing you through a vendor’s support queue.
• Scheduled GraphQL over webhooks. Our sync uses scheduled, replayable GraphQL fetching rather than webhooks that silently drop under load. Ask any connector how it behaves when a webhook fails during a flash sale.
• Reconciliation you can trust. Payment and refund reconciliation with duplicate-refund prevention, so finance can actually rely on the numbers. This is where thin connectors quietly fail.
• Adaptable to your operation. Because the code is ours, non-standard requirements are a change we make, not a limit you accept. Off-the-shelf connectors stop where their configuration screen stops.
• One accountable partner. The connector, the Odoo implementation and the support are all us, so there’s no finger-pointing between a connector vendor and an implementation partner when something needs fixing.

How to evaluate a Shopify-Odoo connector

1. Maintained or abandoned? Ask when it was last updated and who fixes it when Shopify or Odoo changes. An unmaintained connector is a slow-motion outage.
2. How does it behave when a sync fails? Webhooks drop under load; scheduled, replayable fetching does not, and peak trading is exactly when the difference bites.
3. Do refunds and payouts reconcile? This is where thin connectors quietly fail. Duplicate-refund prevention and payout reconciliation are the tell of a serious one.
4. Who is accountable? One partner for the connector, the implementation and the support means no finger-pointing when something needs fixing.
5. Can it adapt? A connector whose code you can’t change stops where its settings screen stops. Ours is ours to extend.
