How to Integrate Amazon Orders into Odoo
Amazon order integration is mostly about respecting Amazon’s rules: SP-API access, FBA versus FBM flows, PII constraints, and settlement timing. This guide walks the practical sequence for getting Amazon orders flowing into Odoo without breaking your seller account health or your ledger.

What it takes in practice
- Step 1: SP-API access and credentials. Register the developer connection against your Seller Central account with the right roles. Amazon’s PII rules restrict address data access; plan customer-data handling accordingly.
- Step 2: Separate FBA and FBM flows. FBM orders should create deliveries your warehouse actually picks. FBA orders record revenue and relieve stock at an FBA location without triggering your pickers. Configuring this split wrongly is the most common Amazon integration mistake.
- Step 3: Marketplace mapping. Each marketplace (co.uk, de, fr, nl) maps to correct currency, taxes and pricelist. Post-Brexit UK/EU splits deserve explicit attention here.
- Step 4: Stock feeds outbound. Push available stock per marketplace on schedule, with buffer rules if Amazon shouldn’t see your whole pool. FBA stock is Amazon’s number; your feed covers FBM listings.
- Step 5: Settlement reconciliation. Import settlement reports and reconcile payouts against orders, fees and adjustments. This is where true Amazon margin becomes visible; without it you’re booking gross and hoping.
- Step 6: Returns and reimbursements. FBA returns and Amazon reimbursements flow into Odoo as their own document types, so stock and money stay truthful even when Amazon handles the physical flow.
When to do this yourself, and when to call us
The steps above are genuinely followable, and a capable team can get a basic sync running from them. What a guide can’t hand you is the part that fails quietly: a connector that survives Shopify and marketplace API version changes, the reconciliation instinct to catch numbers that are lying before a customer does, and someone accountable when a sync drops orders on your busiest day. If you’d rather own a working integration than babysit a fragile one, that’s our job. See the Shopify-Odoo connector and our integration services.
